In the first heli on the rotating dysplay I think it could be read in the canopy 200 Hurricane

If the Heli you are reffering to in the rotating case is this one. Then I would disagree with both of you and say this sure looks to me like a 700

In the picture is hard to say 200 or 700.
But why 700 ? not typical for GAUI.

By the way this has a really high head, like a trex, maby its really the new hurry...

I have heard a rumor...and it's just that...a complete rumor until proven otherwise... but it was mentioned that gaui MIGHT be working on a 600

I agree...the 550 is perfect for me and my budget

ditto - I love the fact that I can use 2 x 450 size batteries

although....a minor frame modification would allow a longer boom and 600mm blades if desired.

I also found out that MOST alloy broom handles are the perfect size to replace the boom... and using a longer belt you could make a mod to stretch the 550 out to 600

Budget wiseThe Hurricane is perfect for me. But I will admit that I am starting to find things about this Bird I dont like. This Swash issue is just another one of these things.
If GAUI ( is, has ) something new in the works I hope they improve there design's before briging it to market.

Ben when are your frames ready:noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy: noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:notewo rthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:n oteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:notewor thy:noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:no teworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy:noteworthy

honestly... the swash isn't a problem for most... like all Heli's out there... you're going to find a bad batch at times... you can always use the T500 swash.. or this one from CNCHeli

what other little things don't you like about it?

Keep in mind these are little things I find annoying.
The lenght of the links end that screw onto the rods. (replaced with aftermarket links
there is the tailrotor hub thimble ends to short. ( went aftermarket here also)
Now I will admitt that the 2 X 3S LiPo packs for a 450 in mind.
Was one of the major reasons I went with the Hurricane in the first place. And the after we have had it a while we all want to strap bigger packs on it and you are pretty limited in there placement and configuration.
I have no issue with the plastic used on there frame, though the design dosent allow for easy bearing changes.
Now these are simple gripes, And I have been able to live with these. For when I have ether verison of my Hurri's in the air I still love them

Sorry Clyde - disagree with some of that .....

Swash - fair does, I'd be annoyed
Links - didn't have any problem at all with my second kit (bought 15 months ago)
Tail rotor thimble - sorry don't know which bit you mean
Bigger packs - not really worried me, I get 6 minutes from my 2200 mAH packs doing sport flying, so I just fly for 6 moniutes and then change, usually only do 2 or 3 flights then go home, charge packs, watch telly, argue with GF etc. etc and go fly later :)

About 350 Hurri flights so far between 2 helis and loving them

I was thinking about buying the Gaui 425 frame and transfering everything from the 550 over. My only concern is if my fusuno 550 canopy will fit on it. www.helsel.co.kr (http://www.helsel.co.kr) has a 425 sitting in their store, i'm gonna bring the stock 550 canopy and give it a test fit...
(the 425 frame gives you more battery options)

I did but it was a while ago. I don't recall if you were using the same canopies. Two weekends ago when i was at the hobbyshop. I seen the 425 and noticed the canopy seemed a little different...

what i found was to get the 550 canopy to fit i had to move the 2 tabs forward to the front screws on the upper being block.after that it fitted fine.shitloads of battery room.and room for bigger pack due to a shorter distance to the cog.if ya go darkside and look in 425/550 pics theres a whole series of shots showing both canopies
