Spektrum DX6 with a HeliMax MX400 and GY240 in rate mode(yes this is on purpose :)
I am trying to get rid of the tail spinning from the engine RPM increasing and decreasing.
I have several questions about revo mixing on the DX6. The manual is not very detailed in the feature explanation.
1. What do RVU and RVD actually mean. Does RVU apply for both throttle increasing or decreasing in the upper half of stick movement and RVD apply for both throttle increasing and decreasing in the lower half of the stick?
2. When to use - or + values for each of them.
3. How does stunt or normal mode affect it. Wouldn't stunt mode need the opposite settings for the lower half. For the lower half of the stick movement lowering the stick increases RPMs in stunt mode but decreases RPM in normal mode. Since you are spooling up maybe normal mode doesn't matter so program it for stunt mode?
The manual states that negative values are used for right mixing and positive values are used for left mixing. I tried using 0 to +105 for both RVU AND RVD but didn't notice much of a difference(probably around a 2300rpm head speed btw at hover). Maybe it got worse... hard to tell. I have not tried negative values yet.
I don't remember having a problem adjusting this 15 years ago with a Concept DX 30 (I took a 15 year vacation from heli's and only got to hovering at the time :).
