2nd Annual Spokane Rotor Head Round Up!

This is the the second year for this event. Last year we had a great turnout for a first time event in this area. We had over 15 registered pilots. We also were the first funfly to offer the great new sport of "HOVER BOWLING". (you got to see it to belive it) For thoes of you who attended last year thanks for coming. We shoud also have drags if enough people are interested. Last year there were 4 or 5 brave folks that raced. It was way cool !!! I am also glad to report that no one broke anything the whole weekend. i hope anyone in the area can make it as it should be great fun this year. I hope this event keeps growing so that we can add to the fun.

Good news! New rules this year gor the Heli Hover Bowling. I think that the new rules will even out the event. Please if you are planning on attending this year please let Mr70ss or myself know. It would help us plan better. Also if you need a place to crash we are working on it also. We are still working on prizes and awards. :?: :idea:

We would be glad to have you. :lol: I know that there are 4-5 guys comming up from the tri-cities again this year. We had one pilot from Seattle area last year, I think his name was Chris. We had around 7 local guys and I hope we will have more this year. Also we will have carpet staked down for at least 4 pilot stations. We will also have carpet for the auto contest and the start line for the drags if they happen. I hope to see you there. Keep in touch.

We got the event sign up sheet done. We also have the awards under way and they are going to be great. Better than last year. We also have carpeted heli pads for four flight stations that will be spiked down. Also we will have carpet for the auto pad and the drag race start line. I have donations coming from Century Helicopters(Thanks Antonio and Century) :noteworthy and the local hobby stores will donate prizes also. I am still working on Horizon Hobby and Great Planes. I think they may chip in also. The event sign up sheet also lists the final list of events. I am still working on the food menue for the weekend. Please kick in any ideas you may have. :hug: We are down to less then 4 weeks. Looking fowards to this event. :lol:

I am starting to get registration forms in the mail. It looks like we will have more people than last year. That means bigger and better and more fun. If you are planning on attending please email or PM me. Send in the registration form if possible. If you contact me before the event I will considder it a pre-registration and you will save $5.00. Remember lunch is included both days with registration. I also thought that it would be cool if anyone interest we could hit a local buffet saturday night for dinner. It would be fun. Also carpet for all events will be laid this Sunday. This will cut down on dust and make for a better event. More entreants in the freestyle and auto contest. I may even enter the drags this year. Dwaine said he may try it out if his heli holds up. Anyone else game for the drags. I think we will shoot a video of the event again this year. :lol: Now I just need mother nature to cooperate and all will be well. :noteworthy
