Hiya - I have the 9Cap and have the alternate metal leaf on the collective stick as supplied int he kit - to give me notchless colelctive. Thing is it's not stiff enough - way too easy to give collective when applying rudder. IN the past I've bent the metal leaf down a bit which works well, but after a while it goes back to how it was.
Is there a permanent way to sort this out. I gather a piece of fuel tubing might be the answer? won't it slip off? if that the right thng for this radio?
any advice appreciated.

Dodgey,
I think the only way to make the travel stiffer is the way you have been doing it. Just bent the tab down a little. You will probably have to take it off to bend it in place. I don't think the fuel tubing will do what your looking for.
Most pilots seem to prefer the collective/throttle stick to be nearly to the point that it will fall under its own weight. When the transmitter is sitting upright. That is basically how I have mine adjusted. I give the transmitter a shake up and down. The throttle/collective stick will just about move on its own when doing that.
I don't think you can get it stiff enough that you won't be applying collective when making a rudder input. That is management of the sticks that you will have to learn as you progress.

Thanks David - thing is - when I stiffen it up by bending the tab, it gets to a point where is dramatically improves my collective control during rudder inputs. I think I'll try putting a washer or two in there...
