Well, i haven't posted anything about the sensors i build in quite a while.

i make the sensors for the gv-1 and the TJ products for $20 each. these sensors work without using the magnet by reflecting the IR light off a reflective surface.

I have had folks say they don't work at night!, Wrong, they have their own light source.

i have had folks say they don't work in sunlight. Wrong, the only guy that wanted to show me, when i got to the field, his reflective tape had come off his fan and the gov wasn't working at all and when he went inverted the throttle curve was off.

After building about a 1000 of these without one failure, i can honestly say they work.

c-ya Ron

PS: thanks for letting me post this Will. --Hotwings

I stuck a multigov on a raptor and used the magnetic sensor that was already on it from a revmax and it works fine. I'd bet Ron's optical sensor would work great with the multigov.

In fact, I think I'll try it. I need a spare anyway; I've had to 'repair' the factory optical sensor on a different raptor and I'm sure it's not going to last. Ron, I'll PM you.

Ron, I have a multi gov on the way so if you can tell by looking or checking out the sensor I will let you check it out. Just let me know when you are in town.

Hey Ron,

Those sensors are the only ones I use because they are plug and play and no drilling of fans required.

I need a couple more.... You have a PM

hey ElvisWL and Stevel, got your pm's and will make your sensors. yes, it's my understanding that the tj sensor will work with the multi gov. i made a couple for lakespinner2 and he's to let me know how they work out.

Elvis sent you PM about 4 tj sensors
Steve sent you PM abot 2 tj sensors
clayK your sensors will ship tomorrow, three GV-1's
Learntofly your sensors shipped 2 GV-1's
Foxden i'll bring you your sensor tomorrow.
WillJames, understand you sent elvis one of my tj sensors, i'll make your gv-1's and ship if you send me the address. Ron

I'm leaving Friday for Oshkosh, the biggest funfly in the world for homebuilt aircraft, and will not be building any more sensors until i get back. :glasses2:

I have been asked if i would supply the sensor and resistors so you can make your own sensors. Suits me, $20 for two sensors and two each of the needed resistors and wiring diagram.

bobby Smith, your three gv-1 sensors are in the mail
Clayk your sensors (3) gv-1's are in the mail.

Leaving today for Oshkosh, will build orders when i get back.

Sensor works great on the Multi GOV...At least on the bench.
97% reading.

I hope to try it in the air this weekend

Thanks Ron
