:mad: i stripped front tt gear where it meshes to auto drive gear ,got it down safetly and replaced gears and i noticed that the drive gear (on main shaft) and tt gears only just mesh ,has anyone had this problem before? i have tried fitting 2 other drive and 1 other tt gears thinking that one was undersize but all seam the same ,unsure how to fix my meshing problem ,the only solution i can see is to slot the frame holes to let the boom mount slide foward ,i only want to do this as a last resort ,any ideas freaks?
cheers justin:arggg::arggg::arggg::arggg:

I was looking at mine yesterday aswell because every time i piro and stop the tail hard i hear a big crack..... i've been trying to find out what it is for ages, but a couple of friends said they had the same when there 700s were new.
I have loads of backlash between the auto-gear and the TT pulley gear, and noticed abit of white dusts on the frame around it.
Mines one of the new kits (about a month old)

I Had exactly the same problem. With the cracking preceeding the stripped gear. The solution was to use normal non shouldered M3 8mm bolts with washers (off the top of my head). This allows you to set the backlash on those gears by an extra 1mm or so. If you need more it will be necessary to slot the frame.

mine will strip that gear every time a maingear goes.I'll have to try non shoulderd bolts and take up the slack and see if that helps.although with the new -1 gears I shouldn';t be stripping mains anymore.

I've been also using the regular cap bolts with thick washers and you can tighten-up the mesh.
No problems since.
