View Full Version : Cheap and easy 9254 mount

Since the 9254 fits so perfectly in the servo mount opening in the Lepton frame, it seemed to me that it was meant to be there. I didn't want to drill extra holes in a thin area of the frame to use bolts, and I don't have the ability to make special CF pieces to hold it in. I did notice the slots above and below the hole could somehow be used to hold the servo in, so I came up with this extremely expensive and technically challenging solution. It employs one of my favorites, tie-wrap technology. The use of two tie-wraps provides redundancy, not that I expect them to come loose anyway, but you never know. No alterations to the Lepton or the 9254 were required for this install. I did leave the rubber grommets on all 4 holes to provide vibration dampening.
