Hey Gang,
My new Tiger 50 is finally up and running...Just going through blades off-engine break-in now...What's the drill on how to clean up a nitro bird after running? There has to be a cool way to clean everything up without making a mess...Finless Bob, what's your routine after a Vibe 90 flight to clean her up???
Thanks for all advice...
So far, Nitro Heli's rock!!!!!

I grab a few bottles of 70% or 90% rubbing alchohol from WalMart @ $1 each or less and have at it. Engine, frames, electronics, all of it. It evaporates fast enough to do no damage.
Some folks use denatured alchohol, but at $3 a quart, I'l stick with the rubbing alchohol.

Well , I use Windex and a air compressor. I only spray from BELOW main gear down , ie skidsfuel , fuel tank , blah, blah. I soak it down, wipe off excess with paper towel, and Finally blow dry! I also blow off any surface dust from head , bearing areas, and such but no liquid is needed because no exhaust gets up there. Few drops of oil here and there. My heli looks brand new every time. Also I leave the fuel line connected and leave throttle barrel closed. I think that keeps the optimum amount of air/moisture out . I never pinch my fuel line for the last flight. This is not my long storage technique but I usaully dont go more than a couple of days without flyin' :glasses2:
