And your settings are??? Is the engine tuned properly? Have you verified RPM externally?

Hi RCfan yes the motor is tuned good i have idle one @ 1800 and idle2@ 1850 and 1500 in norm mode it does the 1500 in norm mode but whne you switch to idle 1 it only goes to 1650
2 other people verified everything wiht me yesterday even tired new amp box

Try setting norm rpm a little higher, say 1550, and idle-1 lower like 1750. See if that helps. I've seen instances where GV1 adjusts middle speed on its own (your idle-1) when the low and high rpms are too far apart.

How do you have the idle 1&2 throttle curves setup? Try setting them both to a horizontal line at 100% and see if that does anything. Just be careful when you switch from normal to idle-1 and back down (in case something is wrong with the gov).

I just went thru this very same thing with someone.
We had 4 different people check out everything on the GV-1.
It turned out to be that the engine was so rich it could not get over 1650.

If you fly using just your throttle curves with the gov off do you get your 1800 and 1850 in idle ups?

I know you said you calibrated it, but did you calibrate it by selecting each of the rpm ranges on the Gov menu and making sure each, 1000, 1500 and 2000 were set in the GV-1 in normal, idle 1 and idle 2? Also, is the GV-1 acutally coming on when you go to either of the idle ups? I haven't had my 14 MZ that long but so far this has been the easiest radio I've ever had to set up a GV-1 with.

Im stumped too. I tried everything that is in writing. I had it running fine with my 9c. I went to Eric Larsons page and I thought I set it up per the instructions. Im lost. Its shows on the amp when I switch between setting that it works. SwCd says its OK too.??????????

Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance. Jeff

Hi,

I need help trying to get my GV-1 working.
:arggg: :arggg:
Unfortunately there are not many people in this part of the world who fly helicopters. A pity. Feel real handicapped. :bomb:

Anyway I am using a 12Z radio with a 9ch Rx. I am flying Mode 1. All connections are as per the manual regarding the channel assignment.

As far as GV-1 is concerned I am using switch SE as On/Off and switch SF which is also my Hover/Idle1/Idle2 switch as the GV-1 to select desired RPM for different flight modes. I tried to follow a cocktail of ideas and readings but still could not configure my GV-1.

Can u please guide me (a dummies guide?) how to configue the gv-1 and get it working so that I can use SE as a On/OFF switch and SF to correspond with Idleup selection.

Thanks a ton,
Rajeev
