Well, I made changes to my setup and I set the pitch from -9 to +9 based on a recomendation for the non-hyper engine. The headspeed was excessive (with a linear 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 Throttle curve and Pitch curve) at over 2000 rpm!

So I set the pitch from +11 to -11. This was much better, but was still over 1900 with the linear curve. I adjusted the Throttle curve to 0, 20, 45, 70, 100 and it improved to 1800 rpm. But this is still a bit high.

What have you guys been doing to get the headspeed closer to 1600 and 1700 rpm?

Tracking

I finally got the tracking dialed in. It took more turns of the link than I expected. But after dialing it in, I measured the pitch and found my slave blade (which is the one I adjusted) was actually 3 degrees different from the master blade. This seems excessive to me.

Does it sound like I have a bad pair of fiberglass blades??

Thanks guys.

3 degrees is alot for woodies let alone glass blades.

You can lower your throttle curve and use cylic/throttle mixing to get the head speed you want but the hyper runs best in a raptor at 2000

But I'm running a non-hyper and the stock (all plastic) head. So I can't run 2000 rpm headspeed.

You can lower your your throttle curve then. There's no law saying you have to run 100 at the top if something less will do the job.

Cool. It sounds like I'm at least headed down the right street. Thanks.
