Hey E1,

I'm just starting out and want to know about the charging and discharging of lipo batteries. First off, I have 4 batt. 2 1800mah and 2 2200 mah batts. I'm using triton charger. How long do I charge the batts? When do I discharge batts? I heard a lot of scarey stories about these batts. and don't want to be a casualty of these batts. Can anyone give me the whole story? Thanks, Curt.

You are quite safe Curt. They can be a touch explosive if you overcharge them (The Triton won't unless you select the wrong voltage - stick to 11.1v).

Don't bother with the memories for lipos on the Triton. Just select "Lion" charge. Set the coltage at 11.1v, and.... for the

1800Mah batts - select the Amps as 1.8
2200 Mah batts - select the Amps as 2.2

To be honest - you will be just as well to leave it at 1.8 Amps for both packs. Unless you are in a mad hurry.

The Triton will manage the rest. It's a very "friendly" charger - it starts low (on amps) and builds up when it is happy the voltages are within tolerances. You can't mess it up with this charger tbh.

edit - Oh - btw - I put my packs in a Wok when I charge them (with nothing above) - that way - if anything went wrong - I've got some insurance!
