OK, what is the best (and are any of these to be completely avoided) bang for the buck for the following cheap blades:
Maverikk G4 Carbon
Heli-Max Carbon
HeliPro Quality Carbon
FRP AirBorn Fiberglass
And the winner is.....................
Get yourself a pair of the tt carbons. They're great blades for the $$
I tried the g4 blades and they do NOT track well and are prone to the dreaded woof and poof. I haven't flown any of the other blades you listed but I haven't heard great things about them. I used to fly v-blades and they are great but pricey and they auto ok. Lately I've been flying sabs and I am very happy with them so far. The tt blades are probably about the cheapest you woud want to go as far as carbon blades in my opinion. I think you can still pick up a set of sabs for around 70 bucks but they are increasing the price to 100 from what I hear.

Have you looked at the Gohbee CF blades. (http://www.gohbee.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=GB600CF&Category_Code=1200)
I have been abusing a set since April including practicing for drag racing.
They auto and fly very similar to the TT carbons. For under $60 they are a good value.

I thought the SAB glass blades were pretty cheap. Work fine for 3D and auto practice.

WHat is the dreaded woof and poof???
Woof is when they blades go out of track 4+ inches and poof is when they hit your boom because of this and it looks like your heli exploded in mid air. You'll hear the woof when it happens. I had the mavricks woof but not poof. It scared the crap out of me. Don't get me wrong, I had a set of mavricks that worked MOST of the time when going easy on them. The next set I had were terrible. Its a shame because they look cool (g4 pro) and work well when they work.

4+ inches!!
Any idea why they suddenly go out of track so bad???
Some one told me why once but I fogot. It had something to do with where the weight is in the blades that caused one to seperate from the other. If you mix a blade with the weight in the wrong spot and the right manuevers/head speed you get the woof. I hear raptors are woof prone but I never had it happen again since I changed the blades out for v blades or sabs

I seen some on Heli Hobbys website. They are only 35 bucks and carbon fiber with white tips.
Might be good for the frequent ground visitors who want the aggresion of carbons with the cost of woodies

Hi guys!
I would have to say the Funkey 600mm silvers are the best blades for your buck.
Autos well, and seems to be more pitchy and "pumpy" as compared to the TG CF blades.
Might be on par with the SAB FG blades.
Tested by one of my fellow heli pals on a sceadu evo not too long ago.
Thanx! :glasses2:

OK I bought some Heli Max carbons. Couldn't resist because I am hating the fiberglass blades that are on now. The tracking keeps changing.
Anyway - Haven't flown the Heli Max's yet, but, hmmmm, they do seem a bit flexy in torsional stiffness. I guess I won't pass judgement until I fly them...

SAB 331 is the fiber glass blades from them. I buy mine locally in Sweden, so I don't know where else to get them.

OK - tried the Heli Max blades. Too flexy.
In fact, when you flex them by hand, you can hear the inside "cracking" or seperating. Not good. The TT blades, Mavrikk blades, MAH, and SAB blades are stiff and don't make any horrible noises when you twist them by hand.
But the Heli Max blades did track very nice!!
I'll give them to Mandy for her 50!!!
