i just swapped the maingear on my fury. went from the 93 tooth to the 90 tooth. the gear mesh sounds horrible and the gear will lock up and the break free again. it was fine with the 93 tooth gear. can i adjust the mesh.

i am pretty sure you need to have the correct pinion with this??..
other wise loosen all clutch bolts etc, and slide a peice of paper just printer paper in between the gears, you can fold this over on itself if you want.. then retighten everything and it should be sweet..
but unsure if you need a new pinion with a gear change..
Cheers,

To go from a 93 to a 90 tooth I am pretty sure you have to change the side plates for the different ratio. If you check the diameter of the 90 and the 93 t gear
it is 91.25 for the 90t
it is 93.75 for the 93t

You should change the sideplates, but I'm guessing you already have.
A few of the gears seem to 'warp' when you tighten the screws to mount it to the hub, resulting in a tight/loose/tight situation. If this is what you are seeing, fly it a few times and it will loosen up.
You can loosen the sideplates a little and rotate the gear there is a little clearance for the screws, and you can tweak it just a bit to reduce the highs or tight spots.

If you going from 9.3 to 1 ratio to 9.0 to 1 ratio.
You can slot the clutch plates towards the main gear. You can do this with a dremel and grinding bit. It only takes about .030 removal of material. I have done this many times.
As for the motor mount, you will need to shim the motor out some on each side. You will need the motor shims to do this. Or you can cut some shims from aluminum cans.
It is not hard to do. The clutch pinion needs to be 90 degs to the main gear and the motor needs to be square to the clutch driver.

Allen,
You only slot 4 holes in each plate. You will slot the two holes where the bolts go thru and bolt directly into the upper bearing block. Also the two holes where the bolts go thru into the lower bearing block that is between the clutch and clutch driver.
Easiest way is bolt the two plates together and slot those 4 holes.
