just a suggestion i own a T-REX se and a MX400 pro , the best mod I ever did to the MX400 was to give it a boom mounted tail servo mount from the T-REX design, fits perfect, allows you to adjust tail belt tension without changing the servo linkage .
Also I removed the white tail linkage rod guide which connects to the tail boom , the metal guide that sits beneath the wing on the tail is enough , the white plastic guide adds too much resistance to the tail servo movement thus causing poor gyro + tail servo performance

in the pic above of the mx the white tail pitch linkage guide is still on the boom i have taken this off since the photo , but you can clearly see the boom mounted servo

what advantage is the boom mounted servo??

The advantage is --
you can make adjustments to tail belt tension without changing you tail linkage settings . with the servo mounted to the frame everytime you move the boom in the boom clamp your tail pitch linkage will jam and will need to be adjusted . this can also happen in flight if your tail boom clamp comes loose . it makes life easier and means your not stuck with a fixed belt tension I like to check my belt tension all the time because after a few flights my tail boom can move a small amount , My tail pitch trim never changes even if the boom moves and belt gets loose . Check it out you will see that Im right . happy flying

good idea-i guess you have to get a different linkage -the stock one will be too long??

i just cut mine and made a new z bend , it wasnt difficult with a little hacksaw blade

I put on the align cf linkage with ball links on both ends and I get great tail controll and no bending like the stock metal one. all my linkages ar balls but the aloron. The zbends there seem to be such a good fit and dont bind so I left it.

that was the first thing i did can you imagine what you would have to do if your tail servo went out , square one , I'm not taking my frame apart to get the tail servo out , don't much care for the look of the servo tilting but the long horn just doesn't work well , also any Trex part you can adapt to the mx is not a bad idea , seems like the Trex aluminum is a better design and has tighter tolerances.

the mx pro's tail servo can be removed without taking the frame apart-but i like the idea of the boom mount-
