Yes Billiano, I'm using the shorter main shaft, the one with 2 holes on top.
I thought 1 bolt would do just fine... is it really more secure to use both?
What's wrong with the header tank ? I've always used one on all my nitro birds... as I said before http://helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=210046 post #7, i like it as a precaution, even though I do use, not just 1 but 2 fuel magnets... and carbsmart.

Althougt I am Greek let me tell you the Amercan way:
Keep it Simple,Safe,Secure.

Or that mecanic engineers say:Simple is always the most trustworthy.

Now regarding the shaft. This new shaft is hardened so you can minimize
shaft's play but also share angular forces in two screws.
Just to be kept in the safe side.

Fuel tank gives you 8+min in the air.So header=extra weigth.

Finally got around to putting some paint on my canopy only after a year... I have one more blank and think i'll do something a little more original on it.

Interesting... how do you like it flying with this background?
I'm sure the video doesn't translate reality quite well, but I just can't imagine myself flying with the huge rocky mountain behind... or maybe you just need to get used to it?

I dont like flying with mountains as a background, but its either that or not to fly at all, because we got these mountains everywhere :( (to all tourists that likes them: come get them you can have them for free :) )
It does make it hard to keep the orientation of the model, it also depends on the weather and what colors you got on the model. The Srimok is my best model to see , because of its size and canopy color, the slim boom can be hard to see tough.

You can see that the HIGH needle needs to be a little more rich because
we do not see any smoke and the heli is running out of fuel.
On the other hand when you are ready to land you see a lot of smoke.

I really like and enjoy to have both a FAIFA and a Srimok Nitro machine! It is the good thing about Helis vs Women! You can Have two of them (oving them both) without having a drama on your hands! :-)

are you not happy with your machine billiano?? does it not fly well or is it just the nitro handling and the fuel cost that anoys you!?
Of curse the faifa is my every day machine and the nitro is for special moment!
What i love about nitro is that you have the same power from start to finish.
For the FAIFA i have 4 12s packs and all are different in age and make different power!
Fact is i love both electric and nitro!! I hope nitro will not die!

I'm all in for the original 90N Srimok !!
I would never trade it for any other birds, even less for an electric !
Nitro is just too freaking sweet !
I blew up my engine 2 weeks ago on a lean run, blew a hole in the piston and had to rebuild everything. the cost of a a new piston + ring + sleeve cost me as much as 1 quality 6S pack over where I live.
My 90N is a dream to fly. Maybe someday i'll upgrade it to an HV setup and some OS 105 but not even sure it's worth for the type of flying i'm into

Just some Crash induced changes. Haven't had a chance to fly yet, due to some engine issues. Can't wait to try the new blades, and also see what visibility is like with all the Black!?! but Man I think she looks HOT:lol: on the ground.

Canopy is from Espirit, FSM70-F21.

I actually thought I was getting the one with more Orange in it FSM70-F16, but I'm happy with my mistake.

Yes, the F9 canopies are Stunning, but I cant justify the extra cost considering this is my 4th canopy (don't ask:-)

The first 3 were the stock green one, but to be honest I wasn't at all happy with the quality. The one that came with the kit had cracks in it, and I made the mistake of using it before complaining, so the LHS wouldn't swap it out. The next 2 had chips in the paint and you could see light through the canopy when holding it up and looking from the inside, very thin in areas. Also, with all 3 of the green ones, the green just looked "washed out" and uneven in places.

This Orange/Black one on the other hand looks perfect, but we will see how long that lasts:-) with my luck...

The plastic gyro tray initially mounted to the front was purely experimental. Later found too much vibration, affecting performance. The tray was subsequently moved to the rear for better performance and stability.
