Anyone made this jump and care to comment on the significant differences?

I know there is a larger model memory, 7 point curves, etc. These types of gains aren't worth much to me, but would like to have the extra channels in the future, mostly for *gasp* planks.

I know the trims are analog instead of digital and buddy boxing has some issues. Not thrilled with either of these things. Any other feedback is appreciated.

Only the throttle trim is analog, the other trims are digital. Some people think this is the only way it should be. I preferred the digital throttle trim my DX7 had over the analog throttle trim of my 9303.

I have forgotten what the flap was about over the buddy boxing. I own and use a JR buddy box from Horizon with my 9303 with no problems. The 9303 is always the master when I use the setup. I think the problem is letting the 9303 be the slave.

The DX7 seems to have better buddy boxing setup, with the P-Master and P-Slave modes.

As has been said, the analog throttle trim is a personal thing, but I like it. Makes it easy to shut down the motor at the end of a flight. And makes is easy to see if you have it off of center.

You have more mixes, which may help with planks to tune out various interactions.

Screen and graphics are better.

Feels better in the hand.

Ah cool, I thought all the trims were analog. If its just throttle then I'm indifferent.

On the DX7 the only 3 position switch I have is Flight Mode. Which on the 9303 are 3 position? Aux switches? D/R? Would be nice to use all 4 VBar banks.

Be aware that if you use a 6 channel receiver, you can't use the gyro gain settings in the transmitter. You have to use the gear channel with endpoint adjustments to set your gyro. I did this to set up my Blade 400 and it works. It's a great transmitter.

The Aux 2 switch is 3 position. And I think at least one other.

And if you really want, with the 9303 you can have 5 flight modes. :)

Or - you can use the GOVERNOR function for the gyro gain. Negative values equal rate mode gain and positive values equal heading hold gain. It'll let you set a gain for each flight mode.
