View Full Version : Outrage Pipe

Hey all,

I've completed my 700 build. I have one question however...I have the outrage pipe. It had two holes where I could thread in my pressure fitting nipple. I put mine on top, but what about the open hole on the bottom now?

It didn't come with any directions....and you'd think if it were supposed to be plugged up somehow they'd provide something to do that. So I have to assume it's ok to be open like that?

The only hardware it came with are the two long black mounting screws with lock washers, and two very short silver screws and the pressure nipple. I was wondering if the two short screws were for that, but they looked way too big to fit...

Thanks,
Skarn

you will need to seal the bottom hole with a short screw. I think it may be the short silver screws you have.

Mine came with two bulky screws... when one fell out I replaced them both with set screws like you'd use to secure the paddles from a vblade set. These sit flush and weren't noticable as much.

I later replaced the Outrage with a Hatori SB19 and believe me it's a much better pipe.

Interesting....I guess it's like cars, we all have opinions. I had someone in another forum tell me just the opposite....he likes his Outrage over his Hatori...same power, was more quiet and he just liked it better overall.

Well, in the official review of the two, the Outrage did compare the same with reference to power and I'm sure at my flying level I wouldn't notice much difference.

JB weld the nipple on one side and the screw on the other. You could also try red threadlock. If you had a non muffler pressurized setup then you would put screws on both sides.

The Outrage is real quite and that's a big plus to many. However after flying both one couldn't be upset for buying either one. They both work great.
