Is this head good. Or are there better heads out there.

I assume that you are talking about the Raptor 50 for the head?
I have got the old 1st version TDG head with traditional overhead setup on a TT30.
Their manufacturer quality is very good so in that department it's safe to buy if you insist on a underslung system.

On the tradidtional system setup for aftermarked metal head, I would rate "Quick UK" 1st and the TT parts 2nd.

YEP. I got one. Would love to have two. I will try to describe how mine flys. Smooth, dependiable each time I make an input it is always the same response, some might call it a precission feel. The head is so adjustiable EVEN A CAVEMAN COULD DO IT. The head is strong and clean. I have found that you can over controll the head if it is setup to sensitive, and you try to bang the sticks it will bog your engine I don't care what you have powering it. Or you can tune it to your taste I really enjoy the head. I will try to stick a pic in my gallery in a couple of days Sincerely Mike out in Arizona

I've not flown the TDG head, but if you're in the market for a very nice head for your R50 at a reasonable price, give the Kasama head a look. The quality of the machine work in the head is second to none and it really transforms the way the heli flies. Your "no binding" pitch range ends up being in the area of 28 degrees. I've been flying it for about 6 weeks now, and can't say anything negative about it. z-rc.com

Ron,

After looking at yours in Ashland last week, I went to the site. They're out of stock on the whole head.

I'm looking forward to picking one of those up.

So TDG or Kasama. I'm leaning to the TDG underslung.
