Hi Guys,

Im thinking of throwing a load of my 600N electrics in a 700. Can i use Futaba S9252 running at 6V in this heli for the cyclic without too much issue? They are a powerful and fast servo in my 600 but i wasnt sure if i could get away with them in the 90?

Many Thanks,
Neil

9252's work just fine on a 90. Got them on my rap90. Just be aware that the 9252's are not rated for 6V although many poeple have run 5.8-6V REGULATED with no issues.

I had the same thoughts with these servos running them thru the scot gray reg at 6v with no issues on my vibe 50,want to get a t-rex 700 nitro but i was told be cautious in that they are not metal geared. so are they ok with the loads of 700 and someone with not so good collective management at this time, working on it. or am i better of with bls srevo's or are align 610's ok for the job.

Well, I haven't hurt one yet on my rap90. And a few years ago, when the 9252 was one of the top servos, I was running one on collective too with no issues. On a CCPM machine like the 700n the load will be distributed between all 3 cyclic servos, not just one as on the raptor.

Thanks helical thats the feed back im after i didnt see it to be that much of an issue like you say with ccpm setup as i have for of these in my vibe that iwanted to use them in the 700. other wise looking at another few $$$ bucks in servo's

Cheers

Just my opinion but i wouldnt be happy running 9252's in a 90. Mechanical mixing on a Raptor 90 takes out a lot of the forces involved in moving the swash. on a 700 the servos take a much bigger beating than on a Rappie, despite there being three of them!

I have to respectfully disagree. The biggest advantage to 3-servo CCPM is that the swash load is distributed between 3 servos for more torque and faster repsonse, thus each servo sees a smaller portion of the swash load. If what you said is correct, then this advantage would be negated.

Plus, I'm sure a high end pilot would be unhappy with 9252's since servo technology has come a long way since the introduction of them. But for the average 3D flyer I think they are more than enough. Mine have been fine for 4 years and I'm no sport flyer. :YeaBaby:
