lepton 4s set up help

hyperion 10 turn motor
24 tooth pinion
hyperion 4s 3700mah lipo
phoenix 60 ESC

I have the speed control in governor mode and at 25% throttle I get a head speed of 2300. I didn't go any farther but I am guessing that running a headspeed of 2700 my throttle will be less than 50%. Can this be right.

sadly yes...Governor % doesn't necessarily translate to throttle settings, but my 10 t is spinning too fast for the 24 tooth..I'm thinking of going to the 12 turn,as that should let me run 85_95 % for the 2800 h/s I want...

A few of us are now cranking it up to 3000 RPM.
While I am not using a CC (I am using the Align 75) My curve in idle is
90, 85, 80, 85, 90

I would dump the governor!

I would like a 22T pinion to get the curves up so the motor is running faster but right now it is a OK setup.

at 65% (where I was getting a head speedof 2800 with the 8 turn motor) with the 10 turn I was well over 3000 and the heli was shaking it was so high.

Hmmm you sure you have the correct pinion on there? I dont get even close to that. Maybe something to do with the CC and motor timing or something?

does anyone know how one would set up this esc for this combo?..... i think this would help trouble shoot this problem a great deal.

i was helpin' check the heaspeed on this baby with the new motor yesterday, that was SCARY headspeed. turned throttle down to 25% and she was around 2300..... whoa..... tricky. apparently there were only 2 pinions that came w/ this bird. i've got too assume that everyone else got the same 2 in thier kit, so this setup will work..... just something in the esc setup is my guess.

Head speed is stays between 2650 and 2700

Are you running the newest Castle software? If not that explains the issues with the governor mode.
