View Full Version : what 3s batteries and charger/balancer to buy

I am am new to rc helis. I have just ordered a T-rex 450 se, and I've spent a lot of time looking into batteries and chargers, and still can't make up my mind. I just don't think I know enough to make a good decision. Can someone recommend a good battery/charger/balancer package? I do know I want a 3s 2100 15C or higher.

I have 4 new FMA Cellpro 2150mah 20C lipos and 2
Cellpro 4S chargers.
The lipos are excellent ( keeping the Hacker A20 6XL happy ).
The chargers are excellent. The Cellpro charger dynamically
balances for voltage and capacity during the charge cycle.
This type of cell conditioning yields a strong, long lived lipo !! :glasses2:

A lot of lipo company's are starting to switch to the new high discharge
lipo chemistry's ( 20-30C ).
You can either buy now while they cost a wee bit more or wait until later,
when there are more players in the game...........your choice.
I don't think I would invest in 15- 18C cell chemistry, not to mention the
fact that they have probably been stored on a shelf for longer than the new lipos.

I can only comment on the new Cellpro's, and I am impressed.
Excellent power delivery. Excellent retained voltage under load.
