can anyone list the difference between rear and forward facing motor for the Spectra G?

Is there a way to see the amount of fuel left while flying?

thanks

If it's forward facing, I believe you can have the fuel tank in the rear of the frame.

Personally, my engine is rear facing.

I have mine rearward facing. Below the radio tray is a 16oz dubro tank. There is no way of seeing the tank in flight unless you cut a hole in the canopy. but, the tank is large enough to guarantee a 15 minute 3D flight with reserve (about 1/4 tank) so you will never run out if you keep your flights to 15 minutes.

I think Clay's links covered this pretty well

ok, I think I'll go with "forward facing" motor.

But just to get that straight, "forward facing" means the engine head is facing toward the front of the heli right?

Yeah. Wherever your spark plug boot is, that's the direction your engine is facing.
