I made a stupid mistake with my Outrage today.
After nearly 100 flights without a mishap I tried flying with the transmitter set on the wrong model. I use Futaba 2.4 gear and had previously flown my Swift. I always do a preflight check, but this time we had a guy visiting our club and we were all standing around doing a lot of talking. I grabbed the Outrage and took her out to fly and show off. I completely forgot to do a preflight check. She was just about spooled up when I noticed the tail starting to move I gave the tail a little input which made it go all the faster in the wrong direction followed by the Heli tipping over at which time I realized what was happening and hit throttle hold, but it was to late. Damage is a set of GohBee 550 blades, it tore up all the lingages, and stripped the main gear, there may be more damage, I won't know for sure untill I do an inspection of it tomorrow night.
I am also wondering if I should buy another set of GohBee blades or try another brand for comparisions.

that sucks, it seems like i always do stupid stuff when there are people watching, doesn't Futaba have model match like Spektrum?

Futaba does not have model match. I really like my
Futaba gear, but I sure wish it had model match.

Sorry, I did not take the time for pictures.

Parts are ordered. Total cost of repair including a new set of SWE blades $126.00

What's up with the Boom Mount Assembly being out of stock by all the Outrage dealers. The dealer I ordered my repair parts from listed the Boom Mount Assembly as being in stock, but now I find out they are out of stock also. I was told one to two weeks before they would be back in stock. That's a long time for the Outrage to be out of the air. I may have to try and wrap some Kevlar string around the support and super glue it for a temporary repair so that I can get back in the air.

Thats a good plan...

Its hard to predict stock levels for things like that, they might order 500 and get stuck with them for a year, so next time they order 150, and they sell out in 3 weeks...

Im waiting for the same part myself, but fortunately the one I have is still intact, i need one for a spare...
