I had reflex working great, then I changed radios for a test and now I can't get the radio to work right anymore, my perfect tail now drifts, and the reflex insists on using channel 6 for both pitch and throttle when channel 1 should be throttle. This is a Dx6 radio. I assume setup should be the same for any JR radio.

Did you recalibrate it. Also, you can go to channel assignment and change the channels manually.

Im having some problems too, but related to pitch and throttle curves, and idle up/3D mode, and autorotation channel on a multiplex royal evo 9 tx.

If anyone has this radio working well, please post your setup, or maybe you could send me your save file. It would be most appreciated if anyone can help.

Yea, I recalibrated, the tail is still not holding well and it still insists that channel six is throttle when it is channel 1.

To get the tail working well you need to re-calibrate with all channels in the middle position - that means the gyro gain channel as well - after you do this the gyro gain will work correctly and the tail will hold

Throttle and Pitch is easy to mixup and perfectly understandable - they both go up and down at the same time - go into channel assignment and change it manually (click the correct channel button)

You haven't detail what these problems are...
But you don't need an autorotation channel,
that's so you can use a dumb 5ch tx with no curves on the sim.
When you use a full blown Heli TX you don't assign a channel to this function
and you turn on transmitter mixing pitch->throttle in the model settings.
The throw the hold switch on your TX, if the model does not drop to idle
you need to reduce the hold mode throttle setting in the TX cos Reflex
is looking for the throttle to drop to an appropriate level to detect autorotation.

If you turn the govenor on in the model settings,
you need a flat throttle curve cos Reflex uses the throttle setting
to determine headspeed.
Run the sim in window mode with data display on,
you can then see the headspeed in the status bar,
put your throttle/collective to the bottom
turn your 1st throttle curve point up until you have the desired headspeed
and then set all points on the curve to that value
Now switch back to full screen mode...

would i need to turn CCPM off to get the DX6 to work in reflex?

a) Yes, I think you do need to turn off CCPM and ensure you are in PPM not PCM mode (which you are in a DX6).

b) Some JR radios (including DX6) have problems with Reflex which are fixed by doing a small mod to the plug. Take a look at this thread. I have not tried it yet but plan to when I get home: http://www.helifreak.com/viewtopic.php?t=5619&highlight=reflex+mod

it should work with ccpm on, I know my DX6 shell is what I use for reflex and it works fine, also make sure you check your trims casue 2-3 points of trim will make the heli all crazy

I need to turn off CCPM as Reflex does ot seem to understand this swash mode.

Or am I wrong ?

Correct - turn CCPM OFF - All sims run off a non CCPM swash input
(this way there is no maths need to interpret swash inputs)
