you can get IR switch for certain cameras. Pentax optio series is the most popular.
hexpertsystem.com has prism switch. rc-flysoft.com has michele switch.

Depends on your camera. If it is a point and shoot Nikon or Canon, then there is a usb trigger for sale over on rcgroups that may work with your camera.

I know there are others out there but I've been using the Opto-Isolated E-Switch (http://www.emsjomar.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=6) from Jomar. Granted this is on a Canon 20d remote but I'm going to try this method on a Panasonic LX1 - open the case and install a plug to attach to the e-switch. Takes some hacking but should work...

Wes,
I'd like to know if this work. I have a LX1 and would do the same thing if it's an option.
Thanks,
Phil

My LX1 should be here early next week. I'll start the hack and create a new post on the subject...

Just got my LED trigger from Gentles Ltd. Haven't tried it yet but anything's got to be better than servo trigger. Too unreliable.

Who sells the best LED switch for a Pentax A10? I see hexpertsystems has one but their shopping cart does not seem to work and there is no contact phone number. I have emailed.
Is there another with similar features?

Did you check out the GentLed? I'm not sure if they have it for that camera, but they have quite a few.
