almost finished. damn near the same design as my Voyager E design only this one has an oil damper for roll axis. Same direct drive for tilt but I used a DS8311 this time for extra torque.

spares from a Raptor, Freya and XeroG came in handy!

Where do you get those neat, molded "rod ends"?.... I looked all over Google, and can't seem to find anything. Maybe I'm not using the right terminology?

Thanks!

bone stock deluxe, Hacker A30-8XL (may change that), no stretch just yet. Possibly in the future.

Hirobo boom support ends. they are the larger ones found on Freyas ;)

up and running. a shot of my nieghbors house from the Logo 10.

Hacker A30-8XL
20 tooth pinion
motor temp 155° (ambient 96°)
X-Pro ESC 110°
5s 5000 pask 99°

I think I'm going to put the AP2000i on it cause it's a bit twitchy but overall I like it. I'm consuming about 405mah/min with it so 10 minutes with a 5s 5000 pack is possible.

One thing I did to make mine less "twitchy" is to use a set of of the Raptor standard "black" paddles. They are heavier than the stock Logo versions.

already did then when I built it fearing the stock setup would be a little jumpy.

I took the AP2000i off the nitro Raptor and put it on the Logo after that first flight. All is good... smooth stable quiet and small. the perfect neighborhood photo bird.

yup the A30-8XL is working great! My total payload is about 1.6lb.

Flew it 3 flights yesterday after I fixed it. Flew 6 flights today. All were flown with the "cheapy" Prodigy pack and it's doing great. I'm getting 9-10 minutes of flight out of it.

The pictures I'm getting with this bird are great. It's a fun machine and not sure how I got by without it for this long.

shot this today with it. That's Red Mountain in the background. If you've ever seen themovie Firebirds that mountain will look familiar. The Apache Longbow plant is only about 2 miles from where this shot was taken.

The man is a mount genius!

I can't find the "Buy Now" button.

Wouldn't that mount work with the Logo 14 as well?

Where's the "Buy Now" button?? :arggg:

well for you Tony there may be a spare Logo mount laying around with your name on it   not sure about the Logo 14 but I suspect with minor mods this mount coudl fit on almost anything.

I flew it 4 more flights today and it's nothing but a pure workhorse. Puts the camera up there and gets the job done. And the $99 Prodigy 5S pack is treating me very well!

DJ,

Awesome.

When you're ready to ship, I'll pay pal.

Just email me when you're ready.

Oh, and please, I do not know how to assemble. Alright...I'm a lazy arse. If you've got one assembled and ready to bolt on, please ship it :D

Thanks man!

Looks real good DJ! Looks like you shot in a different neighborhood today. Everything's so darn dry here! What's up with that green stuff in the picture? Photoshop or foliage (and water)?? :)

Did you have anymore "interesting" visitors??? :glasses:

AZ ChopperCam

yes this neighborhood is in an older part of Mesa. Only about 1.2 miles from where they caught our infamous Serial Killer. This neighborhood has flood irrigation. Every month the yards are flooded to about 3" deep with water. That plus regular sprinkler irrigation keeps the yards nice and green.

no pissed off people on this shoot... I had some friends with me today. Today was the first time I flew via downlink. The AP2000i truly makes that possible. I flew out much further than I normally would have. It's great cause otherwise I'd have had to pack up the truck and relocate for several of these shots.

Definately looked productive.

The a30 hauled all that up?

I always heard they were weak, I was going to put one on a swift I had and people laughed.

Prodigy pack on these flights?

Did you pick up another one for the raptor today?

AZ ChopperCam
08-05-2006, 11:24 PM
that A30 has plenty of power. It's no rocket but it doesn't complain when I put the collective to it.

Yes... Flew the Prodigy 3x today. Loving it more and more. I flew for 11 minutes on it today and packed in 3670mah. It gets only about 5° over ambient. I now have probably 22 flights on it. For a Logo 10 these are perfect packs for AP work.

They didn't have another 5s5000 at the shop so I need to wait. Soon hopefully. If they perform as good on my Raptor then things are gonna change around here! I'll buy 14 or 16 of them and ditch the nitro Raptor.
