I got a CP pretty recently aswell and from beginner to beginner invest in the training gear, it will save you LOADS of cash. Also the plasti-blades are pretty nice too but you need lipos before they work that well.
Good Luck :)

It could be that your taking off in the grass and the tail motor is stuck until it's in the air, that will cause the tail motor to burn down much quicker. Also if your using lipo batteries they could be the culprit because of the extra voltage, if that is the case you should consider getting a twin tail mount, I just got one 2 nights ago from helidirect. Apparently with the twin tail mount the tail motors almost never burn out.
If these suggestions don't solve your problem your 4 in 1 could be busted but that's quite unlikely unless you've had a major crash and didn't killed power to the motors

The Blade CP PRO rules with the heading hold gyro from E-Flite! Inverted, hovers, rolls, and loops and the tail never even steps out!! There is an adjusment knob on the radio for gyro sensitvity (38%) and one to adjust the throtle curve. I set my curve to 100 , 100 , 100 and it was awsome!!

I just came back from another test flight and this one was cool!! I pulled off my first ever real life (not in a simulator) PiroFlip!! I was feeling so good about how the PRO CP was working I gave it a try, Not the best one but it only dropped about 5-8 feet and didn't move side to side at all.

Fli Now; Thanks a lot <sarcastic voice>. You made me order a BCPPro+Gyro just now... :)
I was doing so good.. but if the BCPPro actually flies worth a darn, it'll be worth it as it's cheaper to rebuild than my trex450se is. :)

Yea lol no big deal alot of people think that the blade is only for first timers lol. When I get my brushless setup wednesday it will really rip, I am planning on shotting some footage of the Blade PRO Saturday. Untell then my 3D stuff will still be done at 20 foot of the deck just incase I can't punch out of something.

WOW the brushless motor with the CC25 esc running in head speed governor mode gives me so much pop!! I'd say about 30 foot a second!!! This micro has bite! I am so happy that I could get that much pop and not have the tail step out on me. I am guessing that with a constant head speed the torq made by the brushless motor is more constant and doesn't twist the heli as hard on fast lift off. With out governor mode the heli was twisting on fast take off, and I was afraid I wasted my money on the brushless setup. But now that the head speed is constant it flys so sweet!! Go with the Castle Creations Esc if you go brushless!

Rotfl.. I'm unsure how one flies the bladeCPPro. :) I had just finished my 12th flight on my Trex and decided to try the BCPPro "out of the box".... Didn't touch anything, (or even check anything... Heh heh.)
Holy twitchy! Flew the first battery out but man ... feels so unstable.. I'll balance everything tonight and install the HH gyro, but I was pretty much laughing the entire flight at how wild of a ride it is. :)

Well, I just tried the BCP after installing the G90 HH Gyro.. makes a noticable difference.. just hovered a pack out in a ~4' square space without too much problem.. there's still a tendancy to drift in the tail that I can't seem to get out yet..

What are the stick moves to do a PiroFlip? I can't even get one started with the sim! Duh! :dontknow

I hold full LEFT RUDDER and rotate the cyclic stick clockwise pushing it to all the corners. now you have to do this smothly and its just trial and error to how fast you have to rotate it. it all depend on your piro rate.
This is the best diagram i can draw showing the stick movements for a piro flip.
