Kasama or Quick UK? ...basically I'm looking for the ability to run higher head speeds and get more response from the bird. Which way would you guys go?

Thanks much,

You will be happy with either one.

For the price the Kasama is probably a better deal.

How high you thinking of running it?

Got to see a Kasama for the first time this past weekend in Ohio (Thanks Ron). Pitch arm is a piece part, not a molded part like the quick UK blade grip. Quick UK has a blade grip that has the pitch arm on it. The Kasama is a two part piece, grip and pitch arm.

A resulting crash looks like you might be able to replace the pitch arm and keep the blade grip in service (depending on the crash). I am guessing that this would not be possible with the QUK grip. The tradeoff might be in structural rigidity in the QUK grip/arm.

I do like that Kasama head assembly. It is on my short list of possible upgrades to my Raptor should I decide to put the money into it.

Barracuda,
I'm not really sure how high I'm looking to go, I've just heard that going much above 1850 on the stock head can be pressing your luck... and that it wears out quickly when flying 3D. I've also read in quite a few places that the response on the aftermarket heads is far better. Basically, I'm just looking to get the bird flying at its best (within reason) so that I can try to get MYSELF flying better.

ClayK,
Thanks for the info, I'm sure the arm would be quite a bit less of a "bank breaker". Wonder if there is really much of a sacrifice in strength?

Anyone else got an opinion on these??? The more info I can get the better.

Syn, I have looked at the Kasama Head, and would probably have opted for it over the TT. The TT metal grips have replacable grip arms as well. They are 28 dollars a pair, and believe me they bend. Sure some think they can straighten them, but that hasn`t been my experience as they have to be perfect through the entire range or you will loose the tracking somewhere in the throw. I find it hard to beleive that you would only break a link or 2 on the QK Arms, and not bend the Arms. Just an opinion not from experience on the QK Arms.

I would recommend the Kasama head. It's a quality piece that after 3 cases of fuel is still as tight as the day that I installed it. It also really changes the Raptor flies. Far more responsive and crisp.
