so i went low tech did a sketch took a pic and downloaded it to my comp so you can get a idea of how it would look.
if you want a compleate finished pic let me know

Interesting idea and I kind of like it.... If you could somehow animate the helis so they draw out the F in finless or something like that I think you might have something!

BTW we are getting to the end here and I said December 1st I would choose a winner

So far I like many entries but nothing that totally floats my boat. Either way even if i dont pick one I will award the heli to the best entry and use POLLING to help me decide.

I have never shipped a heli to Moscow but his is growing on me. Time to try the other one I like for a day and see what the comments are.

Ok here is my take on the Heli Freak Logo and such...

I did this in 3D...if the large image is liked I should probably clean up in Adobe Illustrator, but oh well.. It was faster for me this way. I work full time in 3D animation so...

Here are 3 avatar ideas...the 8k limit is really tough... :( Increase the size allowed would be nice... Obviously the larger image is just for fun, not the avatar.

Thanks glad you like it...now we'll have to see if Bob likes them. ;)

Anyhow yeah I forgot to mention being a 3D/animation/video/programmer person I can actually output these and render them larger pretty easy.

I can actually do video res if you want and edit it down in Premiere or send you raw TGA or JPEG image sequences etc... you'd have to let me know what you'd need. What do you use to edit the videos and what format would you prefer? Also how long would the seq need to be? The flag waving doesn't loop so nice, so it's better to render it as long as you think you'd want and I imagine you'd handle the dissolves up/down, or I could do that. Also you'd have to let me know which version you prefer... I had some other ideas for having the logo fly in and such but wasn't going to work for the small animated gif size...

Also like I said tho at the larger size there's some stuff with the fonts and blades I'd like to make better, tho it holds up ok for the animated gifs...

These are very cool! Man you do good work. Only thing I dont like is the pudgy "comic" font but other than that they rock!

Not really an avitar but a DAMN good logo and yea the DOG is right on ... we could use these for video wipes and such!
