This is the Align T-Rex forum, you're in the wrong spot.
That being said, any 6 channel radio will be good enough, but they may lack features or not do certain things you later want. I don't know what servos come with the radio, but generally I think it's best to just get the radio itself, and buy the servos specifically for your heli. Unlike planes, helicopters generally have ONE type or model of servo they work best with.
You might do well to pick up a used radio and go from there. I don't know what your budget is (you didn't say) so I can't really help more than that.
Good luck,
David

With the gyro, you'll use all six channels... later on you're going to want a governor on there and you will be short a channel. There may be another way to hook one up but the Futaba 7CHP would be a good choice. I picked one up and have been happy with it.

If u really wanted to get a 6 Channel, i would say get the HITEC OPTIC 6, it might be cheaper and comes with more function that a T-6XAS. Just to start it has a 5 point curve which is better than a 3 point curve.
My first transmitter was the Futaba T-6XAS which is the same series as the T-6XHS, i got rid of it after 3 months and got myself an Optic6, but about 6 months later i got myself a JR 9XII cos i started to fly the Titan.

I don’t know I will give another side of the story. I used the 6EXH on my T-Rex and now my Swift and I love it. The only thing I ever miss is not having sub-trim but I solve that by making my servo horns from round blank horns. Just rotate trying each spline combination until one set of lines are vertical and drill your holes there. I was on a budget when I first bought this radio but I could upgrade now if I wanted to but I feel there is no reason. It is easy to program and works great.
The 146i Rx that came with it is first notch but I did not use the 3103 servos. I sold them and bought 56’s. Now I use digitals on my Swift.
Oh yea there is one other thing I wish it had is a built in timer.

Eerie I have nothing against the Optic 6 having had one myself but you are misinformed and passing along bad information. The 6EXH has 5 point curves not 3 as you state.

5 point curve? Wow they do have 5 point curve now. I think its a new series from the same line. Sorry then..
I use to own a T-6XAS aka T-6XHS, it only has a 3 point curve.
Attached is a picture of my old trasnmitter and my first T-rex..i painted the face panel of the tx its use to be silver shine
