jrohland made an interesting point in one of his recent posts , modding an mx with t-rex parts why don't you get rid of your mx and buy a trex , here is where I'm at , should i stay or go , I have weighed out the good and the bad, and heli-max's corner is not winning , so if any one is looking to buy hit me up , hold on Darth Vader is calling ----------- he wants me to come over to the dark side .

Lol. Thats kinda funny. I like both birds. If you want good 3d then rex is best if you want a stable funflying into light 3d the x400 is it. One main reason for rex parts on a 400 is, most lhs dont keep parts for the x400 in stock :arggg: :arggg: :arggg: . Thor ther is no reason not to have more than one heli. I got 6, well was 7 but I trashed one of my beaters today after its 4 in 1 unit dumped :badair: during a banked turn. So I proceded to beat it and stop it, hay it was a walkera anyway. If you realy want a trex and cant keep the 400 strip the elect off the 400 and sell the bear heli. If you like your custome heli then dont let anyone tell you to change. the only problem I have had with my 400 is the tail servo in the frame and the short screws in the sesaw. put the trex head on after a crash cuz lhs didnt have 400 parts and i hate to wait. my other align parts are ones that fit on and mostly direct replacements. the tail blades ar just cuz what they are made of. the biggest performance differance betwein the 2 are the paddles. x400 paddles are heavyer and give more stability. Ok its late and I'm rambling Main thing to remember is what you fly is your choice, dont let nit pickers force you to do somthing they want. :soapbox
Ok I'm done now.

I do have multiple Helli's 2 mx 400's and a dragon fly, so like you said never hurts to have one more , its the opposite here my lhs only has 400 parts and I have a hard time getting t-rex parts , but the more T-rex kits the shop sells the more parts they will carry , so maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep the mx for a while , so i see on the mod thread you say you did the t-rex head ? did you not have to do the washout and mixing arms ?

nope, just head block, seesaw, cage, and flybar. I have read that the 450x seesaw will fit the stock 400 flybar. its a simple mod and with flybar weights its same reaction as stock. I need to get weights on my flybar as its just a little too tuchie for what I want at this point. I plan on owning a trex too, I just realy like the side frame of the 400. besides a trex at the price of the 400 will have a plastic frame, I think the best heli is a hybrid. But that is my openion and we know what they are like  and everyones got one. so be happy with what you fly and if others dont like a heli that you do then thats there problem. so happy flying.
