Is it possible to use a govenor such as GV-1 with the 7CHP? Still learning and was just wondering if I need to bite the bullet and buy a 9C? :?

Yes it is possible. But for the GV1 your going to be short one channel to get full usage from it .
Ch. 1 Aileron
Ch. 2 Elevator
Ch. 3 Throttle
Ch. 4 Rudder
Ch. 5 Gyro
Ch. 6 Pitch (Collective)
Ch. 7 Aux channel
The GV1 needs two Aux channels to get the full benefit from it and have 3 separate speeds.
Which with an 8 channel or more receiver it would have enough channels.

It works fine for me. I use the 3position switch fot the speed controller and a switch for on/off. The only problem has to do with throttle hold while the governer is engaged. If you are just learning a goverment can make it a lot easier. Put on 600mm blades and run a head speed of about 1300 and you have a really stable machine. Assuming it is a 30 size.
