I am new to sk360, and after installing the RJX head on my sceadu, (using 9252's)
I have flown it a few times trying to adjust it. With the basic 3d settings I got to feel how a FBL system flies....wow. I was scared in the beginning.

But as I started getting the feeling of it I noticed an oscillation after I gave it elevator and then released (as described in troubleshooting).
Following recommendations, I lowered the hiller and damping gains.
But at this point I have brought the hiller gain down to 13 value,(not the actual value I think) and damping gain down to almost 1.

Flies better but there is still a small oscillation after elevator as well as occasional wobble in FF.

I don't think I should have values that low, it has really tamed it also, so there might be something else wrong?

Bare with me as I am fairly new to FBL with no one in my area with experience in that.

Any help would be appreciated. Maybe my servos are too slow ?

Just ordered a vibe and I am going to install better servos and the FBL on it and I hope I don't get the same results. Kinda takes the excitement out of it.

I had similiar symptoms with my Knight 3d on stock gains. If you have a wobble try dropping gain as per manuel and also raising the hiller decay. If you are getting hunting in forward flight then gain may be to low. Also as far as being tame,I run the rotation rates at 360(max) and then adjust atv in the radio for the cyclic speed that I want. This allows me to adjust cyclic without the laptop and expiriment with different blades or head speeds without taking a computer to the feild.:)

I have the field terminal with me so need for laptop.
What exactly do you mean by rotation rates ? As I was going through the setup and initial steps I don't remember anything mentioned about rotation rates.
I understand there are a thousand things you can adjust with these systems so bare with me. I am still a newbie and appreciate all the help.

Thanks.

He means the roll rate, at one full 360 degree per second, this means the heli rolls or flips one full cycle in one second, as long as permitted by the mechanical set up

if you're worried about your gains being too low, you can try to move your servo balls closer to the center of your servo horns...this will allow for higher gains ans more precise control.
