I have a blade cp kit , with no electronics .
I also have a futaba G190 gyro
I have three servos that came with my spektrum kit the're plastic gear ,
I have a 5 A dc motor controller for the tail ,I want to run dual tail motors
I have 2 , 3 cell 11.1 v 900 MAh batteries
I also have a 10 A brushless motor controller .
I have everything istalled and Im using my spektrumized JR 6102 so I hope to use the built in revo MIX .
I need to know what motor to use that will get me the best results ,
Stablility is more important than flight time but I hope i can use the expo to smooth it out .
So yah a 370 motor was best guess but what KV , what pinion , can somone help me ??

Steve,
I have the Eflite park 370 Inrunner motor 4100KV paired up with a pheonix 25A ESC, which is also the same motor Eflite reccomends as the brushless upgrade for the new Blade CP Pro. For the pinion, you can try a 8T or 9T pinion, depending on if you want a higher headspeed for 3D or not.

25 A is prabably overkill , as a matter of faCT i have a 370 in runner , with i 9 tooth that i did try , but the head speed was outrageous I thought the plastic head would dissintagrate , what throttle % do you run yours at , i reduced mine to 25 % at Max, so my 5 point curve was 0 % 20 % 25 % 25 % 25% and it was very high even at that , i thought it might be better suited for a 3600 KV but I dont really know , mabey i need an 8 tooth pin

The 25A ESC works great with my Eflite 4100kv. The 25A was recommended to me by Horizon hobby and my local hobby store, along with fellow Blade CP fliers who went brushless......that is the reason I went with the 25A :D . I am using an 8T pinion with a head speed of around 22/2300kv. Im not home at the moment to check, but im pretty sure my throttle setting on that heli is 75%.

yah, I ordered a couple of things for this heli ( blade CP ) , for one from my local hobby shop I have looking around for an 8 tooth pinion , I think 9 tooth is still too much for this helicopter . I also ordered a dual tail motor mount . all of this quipment used to be on a fixed pitch heli that i converted to brushless ( my first heli ) this heli's body has been crazy glued and hot-glued back together so many times it was more glue than plastic near the end of its life . so i bought the blade CP airframe and have transplanted all the electronics into the new host .
I was running dual tail motors on the fixed pitch bird too as i was sick of always replacing tail motors due to overvoltage conditions . since the 2 motor conversion Im still using the same 2 motors , of course they havnt been used for over 5 months . but i tested them and they're still good . I made the mount myself and it bolted on to the original single motor mount . but this was not very strong and so it was trashed with the rest of the heli .
I hope my 10 A speed control does the job , I imagine if i keep my throttle setting low like i said I should have no problems

Yeah, hopefully the 10A esc wont burn up on ya, thats happened to me in the past with a lower amp ESC. as long as you keep the settings low, you should be ok I would think. I just got the Blade CP belt drive conversion....http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?products_id=1497 with the CNC aluminum tail ..... http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?products_id=1487 Its incredible IMO, looks and flies like my Trex, and is much more stable!! I still think the blade is a great little heli.

yeah its a nice combo, soft start.....just make sure you disable the brake on it. The belt conversion is awesome! IMO

You gotta make up my mind. The link in the other thread didn't have the slider and grips, this one doesn't have a boom, belt and drive gear. Did you have to buy both kits to get it all to work?

If your asking what is needed for the belt conversion, here is the link to the main frame, which comes with the belt and tail boom. All the other items needed to complete the heli are on that page (the links) and then they have their recommended electronics list. If you are using the stock head there are the parts needed to complete it; If you are using the CNC aluminum head like I am, there are the parts for that. :D Let me know if ya have any questions about it.

Ok, now I get the picture. basicly altogether runs $130-$140. I'm just going to a BL tail and skip the middleman
