Seems there are a lot of metal parts from Maverik that look identical to TT parts but for half the price. Is there something i'm missing or are they just a really good value?

Look identical is not the same as being identical. I learned my lesson when I had an RF problem with one of my helis. I tracked it down to a "loose" fitting maverik main shaft rocking on the bearings. Changed it for the TT part and the problem went away.

I'm not knoking down the maverik parts, I use some of them, but i pick and choose which ones to use.

I swore off of them on anything important. Example, my washout base is Quick UK, my carbon fiber fins are Mavrikk.

Okay, good to know. I was thinking about the flybar control box from Mavrikk but i'll just get the TT, i think.

Now that just happens to be one of the Mav parts that I do use. :) I'm replacing it with a Quick UK one soon b/c I'm getting the whole head unit from them, but I haven't had any problems from the Mavrikk one.

The Raptor with the RF problems was my R70 which I got as a stock kit, and slowly I have been upgrading it to mirror a 90 SE (the last thing I will upgrade will be the engine)

I also have a Heliproz "Hyper Raptor 50" It is loaded with Maverik parts, including the a flybar cage. I do not prefer that design, but since it came with it, I have no problems with it. I changed the stock plastic hub with the TT hub. and I left everything else the same.

I have the full Maverikk head, and so far have had no problems with it. It even held up in a crash. The only Maverikk (Hobby Taiwan) part I've had any problem with is their plastic frame, which isn't as well molded as the (almost identical) TT frame.

I use Mavrikk parts in some areas also. I'm trying their metal blade grips this week on my stretched Raptor 50 for AP. Should be good. I'm also trying the 95mm CF tail blades as opposed to the stock plastic T/R blades that came with my kit that are really bowed.
