This year I'm buying chicken wings before I leave for Muncie. I couldn't find any decent wings at the grocery stores down there :(
So this year - I'm stocking up!!
Chicken wings and runballs, baby
Jeff - you really thinking of leaving Tues night? That would put you in Muncie at around 9:30pm?
Hmmmmm maybe I follow.....miss all that Chi-town traffic.

That is my plan. It won't be the first time I set up my tent in the dark.
Will that new Foooord keep up with big red?:D
The storms knocked out power last night for 5 hours, so I am another day behind in getting ready for the trip. I still have to roll 300 balls, and build a heli. :smokin:
Give me a call and we can plan from there.
Wooooo Hoooo Just 5 more days. :glasses2: :glasses2: :glasses2: :glasses2:

Both of my big birds were prepped for travel, they won't be seeing any flight time this weekend. Raptor will see some time this week and weekend before the trip, so she's still out. I pack late, so I'm not worried. I'm anxious though.....

Star9storm -
Bring it along anway. There is a hovering area you can use to set-up, hover, test fly etc.
Never come to IRCHA empty handed - bring yer gear! :D

Bring it Suz, there is a hover area and we can help you get it dialed in.

It is set up great....we just made some adjustments last weekend and I just started doing pirouettes and flying circuits. So we unleashed its power last weekend and havent got real used to it yet. Dont want to scare anyone!!!

After some of the regular flying that goes on at our local field I doubt that you can scare us.
Bring your stuff, we'll get you sorted out. You'll kick yourself all weekend if you leave your stuff home.

Debian,
I have a fear of being the dork that lets it get behiind them and going into the pits!!! I dont care if someone else does it, just dont want it to be me!!

The thing to remember if you loose it that bad is to always be ready with throttle hole, that pretty much drops it where it is. A crash on the field is far better than a crash in the pits.
Also there is a pretty good distance between the pits and the flight line.
Quit making excuses, bring your stuff.

Oh I'm bringing it!!! As long as I dont crash between now and then. Everyone would give me to much crap now if I didnt!!

I tried the same reasoning.... didn't work. Looks like I'm just going to have to crash in front of everyone. I'm sure your flying is better than mine....

Even the pros crash - it's part of the hobby. You will see some SERIOUS crashes at IRCHA - one pilot trying to outdo the next.
Curtis and Alan crashed at last years noon time demo (which sucked because we didn't get to see their full flights) doing some basic inverted hovering. But is was extremely low and both caught a blade in the dirt and rolled it in.
Just keep a safe distance between you, the heli and the spectators!

Oh I know everyone crashes!!! I work for a blade company! :D It is just whether you scare the spectors when you crash

See ya at IRCHA! don't forget you owe me a beer! :cheers
