some of you may be doing this already but I just tried a new trick to make the AP2000i even easier to use. This works with radios that have digital trims.
set your transmitter "trim step" on aileron and elevator up to a fairly high value. On my Futaba 9C I am using a value of 14 to 16 instead of the default 4.
This allows me to trim the AP2000i with usually just one or two clicks in any direction. Trimming used to take as much as 15 seconds or so to get dialed in and now I can trim in about 2 seconds. When you roll off the gain of the AP just a click or two and you're back to the normal setting.
I find this the easiest way to use the AP. no calibration mode needed. I think "trim step" is one of the most uncommonly used but cool features on your TX and makes trimming (even without AP) a snap.
