Thanks to Rodney ive got a couple days of fun with his XTR to get a couple models and the radio dialed in....so far ive downloaded a Hirobo Freya and a Fury Tempest....after some tweaking of the helis and the radio, all i can say is ,wow!!...I now know that ill have withdrawls when i have to give it back in a couple days....MY opinion is that it blows G2 away not only in graphics but in realism of flight...the freya and fury are set for hard 3d and they both do it very realistically....ill be buying reflex for sure :banana :clappp

Yes dude, the physics are rockin' - the setup isn't too bad is it? A lot of people out there are having a horrible time with it which is really sad. It's a great simulator and I agree... totally blows G2 away in terms of realism. What convinced me is it's ability to simulate auto's. The feel of the heli is just about dead on.

Where did you get your cable for your 9C Dan? You did not set it up with a 9Z did you Vance?

MRC Altech sent me the square futaba for the 9C. That's who I ordered XTR from. They still haven't sent the round futaba for the Z - it's backordered.

XTR comes with a standard cable. You have to buy an adapter for your specific Tx. I have the 9C "Square" adapter. XTR was 1 reason why I bought a Fury. That and I got a pretty good deal on a used one! Anyways, the XTR copter flys almost exactly like the real thing and I love it bacause going from simulator to field is almost seemless!

MRC Altech sells the square adapter. The part number you will need is 0060020 futaba square adapter (0060021 futaba round adapter). Mine shipped with the adapter and then I ordered two additional adapters for other radio's.

Just give them a call at 732-225-2100 and ask for Carol

Guys,
Go to FXAeromodels and get the square adaptor from them. The one he sell does not require you to turn on your radio while using the sim, therefor no RF output.

Thanks for the heads-up Nitro.

Will the Aerofly transmitter interface on FXAeromodels work with the new XTR USB interface? It would need an RJ-11 (telephone adapter) end. You may have to convert it.

Also, I think the 9C automatically deactivates broadcasting RF when the square trainer cord plugs in.

Just pull the Rf module out of the back. It uses allot less power with it out. 9C that is.

Where do you get the download's for the Freya and Tempest?
How do you speed up the cyclics???
My set up is fast tail and extremely slow aileron and elevator.
Not very realistic but the Graphics are awsome to say the least.

Make sure when you first set it up that you have full throw's on your channel display. Once that's correct, then you would adjust your cyclic in the radio. If this doesn't make sense yet, then please check out my quick setup guide here (http://www.helifreak.com/viewtopic.php?t=1139).

I guess you could try positive expo. It shouldn't need that. All of the setups I've seen have been on the touchy side. Make it more sensitive by adding positive expo and see if that gets you there.
