What is the exact length the magnet should be from the center of the fan on the 90 SE. I have a GV-1. Thanks

it (the radial distance) doesn't really matter that much

Actually it doesn't matter at all as long as you don't put it in center.
It's the number of times per minute the magnet passes by the sensor that counts. This number will be the same no matter what distance from the center the magnet is put.

I put my magnets at 1 inch out on the fan. This works out well to get everything lined up later. I check the balance of the fan and put the magnet on the light side and then rebalance.
The distance out has no bearing on performance as was mentioned above, but there is a range where it will be within the adjustment range of the sensor.
