If I mounted my 401 Gyro under mainshaft, exactly center. But ... with in conditon .... far away enough from motor.

Is it better to control??? I wondering??? :?: :bomb:

it's better because the flybar won't take it out in a crash.. you can invert the alu tail block or make a mount for it out of some acrylic... either way you're better off with it protected under the boom..

not better for control, the same in fact, just better if you crash.

enjoy,

hardly....

in fact just this evening I busted another CF boom... trying to fly in the lounge room after a few drinks is not a good idea :arggg: but having the gyro under the boom saved me yet again..

Just keep in mind that you'll have to reverse the gyro direction if you change it from upright to inverted mount. Otherwise it'll have a really nice piro rate - when you tell it to stay still.
