Hi Everyone!,

This is my first post in here bedcause i was in rcuniverse before but hardly anyone has an ark they all the the T-Rex... the silly sausages

Ok, I have an Ark X400 ( Bought from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290013603013&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUK%3A1&rd=1 ) with upgraged eCCPM head and upgraged tail. I bought it with a 25A ESC and 420LF Align Outrunner. I also got an Align 1900Mah Li-Po and Li-Po 4 Microprocessor charger. I bought a telebee HH and dual rate gyrod seperatly according to advice from X400 TUNING. I already own a Hitec Eclipse 7.

Basically i am asking for some general advice... is this heli a good one?...is it hard to fly?... should i downgrade the carbon parts back to stock??..... was this a good buy.

1 more thing... I got an align RX and it doesnt work with my hitec so i already have an 8 CH RX with is for a plane so it is a bit bigger... but will it be ok and will it work?

Thanks,
Luke

ok for the rx get one of hitecs 6ch micro ones it will be around 40 bucks. Setup gyro rate in the radio cuz thats best way to set it up. The eclipse 7 has a 120 swash setup in the menu so thats strait forward mostly. download finless's video on ccpm setup, its on a trex but it aplys to any ccpm heli. As for the cf parts the only thing that I whould not run cf to start with as a newbe is the main blades. Woodies will save money on parts as they will break befor other parts. it is a varry stable bird to fly. and that telebee gyro is great for the price. I have one on my heli and its sweet. The only complaint I have about the heli is the tail linkage. The stock rod bends bad. I put my servo on tail mounts and whent to a cf linkage. But on other setups I have worked on I did not use the front guide and that fixed the binding but its still not a strait shot. As for carbon tail booms, its a much better way to go. if you are just learning then get a set of training gear. Also a sim is a varry valuble tool.

Hello again,

Thanks for the advice Raven, will come in handy.

As for the receiever i am looking on ebay.co.uk (because i live in the uk and dont wanna pay tax and stuff) and found this ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6055049324&ssPageName=MERC_VI_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT )
Should i be going for a branded one or will just a name i have never heard before that says compatible with Hitec?

you will most likly get better quality from a named brand, but I've run a dynam in my 400 and it was fine. just make sure you get right frq ie. 72 or 35 mhz.
