It seems to me likeI can, but I just want to make sure. I'm almost done with my 500 ESP but I can't finish it because I don't have my batteries yet. So the question is - can I set up, not fly, but set up my servos, ESC, Gyro, etc. with a 3S battery instead of a 6S? Everything seems to point to yes, but I just want to make sure. Everything I have indicates that they will work within a range that includes a 3S pack. Looking forward to the replies..thanks! :thumbup:

Yes you can.
Do I have to redo anything when I switch back to 6S?

No you wont have to redo anything. Some times I just use a extra receiver pack from a nitro heli to do the setup on the electrics. Especially if I don't have the batteries yet.

In the manual (which I've not got to hand!) there's a voltage range of the ESC, something like 7.4V to 30 something. As long as your 3S falls in that range you should be good to go:thumbup:
