I am running an JR DX 9. I guess that is the same as the X9303 radio.
The rechargable battery doesnt last for long.
After 1 hour its empty. what can cause this?
Is it the transmitting effect that is set on high? or is there just one effect out

Well if it's like the X9303 over here, it's got a 1500 mah battery pack in it?

While 1650 mah is generally considered the break point on calling NiMH cells "high capacity" for the AA size, they still benefit from observing the charging recommendations for high capacity cells.

Those being forming charges and not over charging. The walwart which comes with the X9303 over here is 110 mah and it's great for charging the batteries without getting them hot which will ruin high capacity packs. While some may say field charging at up to 1C (1.5 amps) is okay, my experience and what I've seen about battery issues suggests a max of 1/2C should be observed an 1/3C would be better.

The 12X radios have had some issues with their batteries which are high capacity 2000 mah packs and the included charger getting them hot, which as I mentioned ruins the cells. In following threads on battery issues for the 12X (I've had them with my 12X), I've seen some posts from X9303 users with battery problems similar to yours. When investigated it's usually been a bad cell in the pack or a situation where someone has used a high rate field charger a lot.

I think your pack is bad....:(

Sounds like something is wrong. Mine would run for several hours on the stock pack.

But I use a 2700 mAH Sanyo NiMH packs that lasts for days.
