hello guys, firstly i would like to kinda introduce myself, as this is my first post on heli freaks. hoping to become a heli freak soon.

im 15, live in north london england, so plently of flying space available.

I have lots of aeroneutical experience as my dad is really into model airplanes, and so was i at 1 point. i can fly aircraft realy realy well. and i know all the rules of physics etc etc. so, i know a thing or two about things that fly..

last year, me being a boy, went and bought a RC nitro 1/10th scale touring car, wich will does about 60-70 mph. but its so expensive to maintain, there more maintenance involved than actual usage of the thing, an its kinda annoying me, constant tuning of the engine, and on some occasions u just cant get the thing to work, and u want to smash it...

so i came upon the conclusion of selling it, sell it, and buy a real big boys toy, ive been to plenty of air shows, and watching these things fly, just never seices to amaze me, the sound, the agility, they truely rock, far more impressive than watching an rc car going round an round, although there fast, there just nothing compared to these helicopters.

so the situation is, im going to sell my rc car on ebay, with all equipment, i should get around 200 pounds for it, 350 bucks :) i think, and its my birthday soon, so i should get alot more cash ontop of the 200 from the car,

looking for a raptor, its my first helicopter, so im not looking into a raptor 90 or anything crazy, but something suitable, that i can learn on, but performs awesomely to, once ive learnt the basics too. easy to maintain, and relatively cheap to repair, incase hell happens,

thanks.....

aaaa, raptor 50, prefebly a V2 i would say, i dont want to buy a kit though, way to expensive, and come with nothing, ive allready got a 7 channel transmitter, so i dont need 1 of those, i was thinking of buying a second hand raptor 50 V2, as good condition as possible obviously, i see raptor 50 v2's go on ebay, with all electronics and engine, go for about 200-300-400 pounds (350-525-700 dollars) and thats with everything,

so definately getting a raptor 50 v2?,
when buying a second hand one, wat are the mains things to look out for, i dont know much about them? :?:

If you are going to buy it second hand, I'd consider taking it completely apart and checking each part for wear. Then you can put it together yourself building your knowledge of assembly( since you will be crashing and replacing parts).

just make sure you get decent servos. a lot of people think that standards work, but in reality, you are pushing the limit of the servo. Secondly, I would agree that you disassemble the heli, anc check EVERYTHING
