Just received a new torque tube to replace the one that I damaged after I lost the main carb needle mid flight at the weekend.

I was suprised to see that it did not come with the ends pinned and have the plastic retaining clips fitted.

I`ve fitted it anyway but is this how they are all coming now?

Nope no pins and no plastic retainers.

I certainly don`t like it but what can you do other then mess about and put some pins in yourself.

I would like to see how many other people have the same problem.

I guess it depends what they have changed at manufacture. If they have changed the tolerances so the ends are a tighter press fit then fine. If they have done nothing other than stopped putting pins in then i guess there may be problems sooner or later.

For years Raptors had this problem of the ends coming loose on the TT. Everyone pinned them... I am going to pin mine if I ever have to replace it as for sure it is cheap insurance should it ever fail.
