not trying to stir up anything, really im not, just curious as to why they havent contributed to the raffle,i mean if i was them i would, they get such a hard time about customer service and all,the only trouble iv had with them was actually my fault and they exchanged the part(wrong head button)

Hey Century Reps,
I fly a Hawk Sport, get your headquartes to donate at least a Hawk Sport to the cause !!!! :!:
No reason a company as big as Century couldn't afford a small donation like that !

I like the Century products, but they need to step up here for this drawing. HeliFreak has now become the "fore-most" place to be !!!

I want a Hawk sport  . I think the machine would be perfect for me. If they won't contribute one to the raffle I think I'll buy one anyway

Well Guys....
I dealt with Doug and we talked about a kit and it seemed like it was going to happn, all that was left was for Doug to clear it with Peter, but....
I pm'd him a couple of times about it, and tried to call him a couple of times, then I heard he was no longer at Century. That is the last I have heard about it. Cheesy... well you can form you own opinions about that. The donation was not mandatory, so I guess they just wanted the free advertising and exercised their right to opt out of any donation. We gave them the option and Century took it. Nothing wrong with that, but it is a little disappointing when all these smaller manufacturers/dealers gave us the vote of confidence by donating great stuff and the HUGE Century decided to erercise their right not to give anything.
Honestly, I don't really know anything more to tell you. It would have been nice to add a P-MAX or something to the raffle. Take a look at the list of advertisers (HF Supporters) and what they donated to our raffle and then thank these people by ordering from them.
HF has not arrived yet, it is going to take a while, but we are getting better thanks to ALL of you!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!
Thanks for joining and contributing to HF!!! We really appreciate you guys!!!
Stick with us ahd grow with us. We are a lot different than most sites, and we think that is a good thing. :) :D

Maybe you should give them a call, Doug might not have said this to the other Century people.

I would bet they will be closed until after the raffle is over. I think Doug did say something to Peter, Doug is that kind of guy. If he said he would, I would bet he did.
Not a big deal, just disappointing. Donating to the raffle was an option.

With all the Century Reps around, I would think they could get something donated at the last minute. If not this time, maybe they can offer something later for a smaller raffle. Who knows. In business, sometimes things get misunderstood (ie. "I thought you took care of this???). So maybe it was just a undersight. Who knows.

guys, i wish i could do something but if you went through Doug, and he couldn't do anything. their isn't much us reps could do. if Doug said he did something then i would for sure take it at his word!!
Sorry guys,

Thats what I think to Pepper. I believe Doug. Like I touched on before as well, Donating to our raffle was optional. 99% of people who are on the front page donated. It was their option though. Lets not be to hard on Century, We have no hard feelings toward them in anyway. They produce fine machines, and popular machines and machines good for noobies, and a lot of other stuff. I really appreciate what C has done to bring the hobby where it is today. I hope they stick around now that we are starting to charge for ads. :)

Not bashing Century, I was just hoping a Pred_Max might turn up in the raffle. I also realize that they are hit up on a daily basis to dontate to this or that, so I understand, but it also isn't like they didn't get something for it. That would be cheap advertising for them. I am sorry they didn't take advantage of it.
Our canadian distributor, Leisure tech, has been donating or giving special deals to fun flys in the area for the last 6-7 years. From Hawks, to scale, ravens to preds. Certainly there should be at least a break on a kit for raffle in the usa? Get ahold of Kam Wyatt maybe? Also some companys make a budget for the year (prizes) and have closing dates. Send a formal letter with fun fly poster to them long in advance then bitch if they dont offer  :dontknow

Phil from Leisure Tech gave us a free Hummingbird 3d pro, among other things to give away at our Funfly in Edmonton, he also donated prizes to SHAG05 in Saskatchewan.
Century is a big sponsor at all the local events, our events average 20-30 pilots, not a huge crowd by any means but they help us out a lot anyway.

BTW? What Raffle? I haven't heard a thing about one. I do know the guy who won a raptor 50 here once so I wouldn't mind getting in on it!
