Tempest 3D to 8.18?

I am trying to convert my Tempest to the 8.18 ratio. It was 7.91. Is there supposed to be different carbon side plates used? Not all the holes in my 7.91 plates are lining up.

This is what I got:

90t main gear
11t pinion
motor shims

Am I missing something?

Scott,
You will definitely need different clutch plates. The 7.91 ratio the motor is moved as far forward as it will go with the 95 tooth main and 12 tooth pinion. 90 and 11 make 8.18 which is moving the motor towards the tail of the heli about .090.
122-60 is the part number for the Tempest Doubler plates for 8.18. The only plates that are dual ratio are 7.66/7.75 and 8.36/8.45. The rest of the ratios need plates specific to those ratios.
