Help required.

I am putting together the Thunder Tiger MD500 and I am using R90Se mechanics. In the instructions they state that I should offset the undercart entry holes by 2mm from the fuse centreline which i don't understand which way I should cut the holes.

If anyone has built one of these fuses and put a raptor in it and could give me some do's and don'ts feedback I would be appreciate it as i don't want to stuff this build up.

here is a response i gave a couple of years ago:

the only real issue is the spacing for the gear. you do not want to use the cutouts. this will put the fuselage too low, resulting in the pitch arm hitting.

it is recommended that you go from 2-5 mm toward the center of the fuselage. i also found that it helped to move the holes a little to the rear.

i had a real problem trying to use the grommets that come with the kit. i split the first one trying to put it on the strut. had a similar problem with the second. then again, i am no scale master!

i would recommend that you paint the interior black. i also believe it would be desirable to darken the side frames. you can see from mine that i did not do this and they stick out like a sore thumb.

overall, it is an easy build. i used a .90 boom with a .60 heli, resulting in a little tail heavy issue. i originally zip tied the pilots in for ballast. the rest of the cockpit just evolved.

my helicopter has an os .61 and has plenty of power. i have not looped or rolled it yet, but i am sure it is possible. i do a lot of stall turns with it and hight alpha turns. this i believe is realistic.
