Hi,

On a Raptor 50, when I spin the main rotor by hand, the strap do some click click like a sound of radial. The sound like going on the back, from the red gear in the gear box, and a little from the white main gear in front.

Is it normal? Is the strap are to hard ( bend )? Or, is it just Normal???

Thanks,

Tron

If the click sound is coming from the tail case and is occuring repeatedly with every revolution of the tial rotor, then it is likely something in the case. I would suspect the pin in the tail shaft may have slid out some and rubbing on something.

Could also be missing/damaged teeth on the belt, but that would only occur every revolution of the belt when the bad area passes over the gear (tail or auto gear).

Also, I run the tail belt tension pretty tight/firm and don't have the clicking sounds.

Try opening up the tail case and have a look.

Also inspect the belt for worn edges on the teeth, they should have a nice sharp trapezod shape, if they are worn replace the belt.
