Hey everyone,

The name is Chris Mackedanz. I got started in this addicting hobby when one of the guys I work with picked up a little 2 channel i think fixed pitch heli and we would fly it around the hotel. I picked up a little air hogs co axial heli to fly around the hotel and was hooked.

I went to a hobby shop near there and ended up buying a blade 400, got a good deal on it actually...

I didn't realize I should have a sim as well since I didn't know where or if a local club was around. Needless to say, I've crashed it and am now rebuilding it. I managed to get it in a hover, but it turned side in on me and started to drift towards me...and well the site of this thing coming out is.... a little frightening and slammed it into the ground...:arggg: so i'm rebuilding now.

I also picked up a Walkera 4g6, something small enough to attempt to fly in the house, yet still has the same amount of control as my blade.

I'm no where ready to do anything fancy, but would like to eventually do some aerial photography and or FPV flying... ...yeah...someday....

I am not a huge simulator fan either other than orientation practice.

Welcome to HF

I have two different ones an neither feels like a game. The sim lets me practice new manuevers over and over and get the crashing out of the way before I try the maneuver with the actual heli.
